Baby sea turtles have a very hard start in life. Many of them hatch at the same time. This helps them survive because hungry birds cannot catch them all at once. One baby turtle comes out late. This is dangerous. Birds fly above her and want to eat her. She runs quickly to the ocean. There is danger on the sand too. A small ghost crab tries to catch her. The crab is strong, but the baby turtle escapes. Finally, she reaches the water. The big waves hit her hard. It is difficult to breathe. She swims past the waves to calm water. She is safer now, but she must dive deep to stay alive.
