Eligibility and accounts

• You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate and current information when creating or maintaining an account.

Service description

News in Simple is an English-learning platform built around real-world news, graded reading, vocabulary tools, and selected AI-assisted learning features. We may update, improve, or discontinue features at any time.

Subscriptions, billing, and auto-renewal

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis according to the billing cycle shown at checkout.
• Unless you cancel before renewal, your subscription renews automatically at the then-current recurring price shown for your plan.
• Any trial period, first charge date, recurring interval, and pricing details are displayed before you complete checkout.
• Payments for subscriptions are processed by our payment partners, including Creem as merchant of record where applicable.

Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription directly from the Billing section of your account. When you cancel, your plan remains active until the end of the current paid billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout or required by law.

Refunds

Except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout, subscription payments are generally non-refundable once the billing period has started. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@newsinsimple.com.

Acceptable use and content restrictions

You may not misuse the Service, violate applicable law, or use News in Simple to generate or distribute prohibited content.

• Do not attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineering, scraping, or service disruption.
• Do not infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other third-party rights.
• Do not use the Service to create or request NSFW, explicit, pornographic, sexually suggestive, hateful, violent, or illegal content.
• Do not use the Service for face-swap, deepfake, identity manipulation, or deceptive impersonation content.

Intellectual property

The Service, including software, branding, text, graphics, and site content, is owned by News in Simple or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership rights to you.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, News in Simple and its affiliates, officers, employees, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, our policies, applicable law, or payment-provider requirements.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version on this page. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
