An engineer traveled on a big research ship. He wanted to learn about the ocean. He worked with a whale scientist named Rui. They wanted to study giant sperm whales. These whales dive very deep into the dark water. The men built a special camera. They used old parts and suction cups. It was hard to make, but they fixed it. Rui put the camera on a whale's back. Later, they found the camera floating in the water. It worked! They watched the video on a computer. They saw the whale swim deep. They heard it making clicking sounds to find food. Then, they heard a different sound. Another whale swam into the video. The two whales communicated with each other and swam together. The engineer felt very happy. The video showed that the deep ocean is not lonely. It showed that technology helps us discover amazing new things.
