Amazon Web Services CEO Reveals How He’s Seeing AI Used | WSJ (Level 1)

Matt Garman is the boss of Amazon Web Services (AWS). He thinks Artificial Intelligence (AI) is changing the world. It is like when companies first started using the internet for storing data. Today, AWS uses AI to work faster. Workers use AI to write code and plan their days. However, people must still check their work. Sometimes, AI writes silly emails! AWS wants to give customers choices. They offer popular AI tools from companies like OpenAI and Anthropic. To run these smart tools, AWS builds its own computer chips. These chips are called Trainium and Graviton. They make computers faster and cheaper. Amazon is spending a lot of money to build huge data centers for these chips. Some people worry that AI will take their jobs. Garman says we will still need workers. People will just learn new skills and solve new problems.
