Democratic Voters Debate What’s Wrong With the Party | WSJ (Level 1)

Democratic voters are deeply divided before the midterm elections. The elections will decide if Democrats can win control of Congress and check President Trump. Many voters worry their party is weak or rebuilding. Some support far-left candidates, including Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan. Others fear he is too extreme and could hurt the party in 2028. The voters also disagree about Israel and healthcare. Some want to stop military aid to Israel; others do not. Many support Medicare for All, but some prefer smaller changes. In the end, most say they will support the Democratic nominee, even if the candidate is not their first choice. They believe unity is important to win.
