Elephants travel from far away to visit special places. They come to eat salt and meet other elephants. This is also a good place to find a partner. One young male elephant is very excited. He is in a state called "must." This makes him feel angry and strong because of his hormones. He wants to impress the female elephants. This is a rare chance because females can have babies only once every two years. At first, the young male is lucky. There are no older or stronger males around. He acts like the king of the area. However, his time as the leader is short. Suddenly, a much bigger male elephant arrives. The young male is still very excited and wants to fight. He attacks the big male, but this is a mistake. He is not strong enough to win.
