How Oceanic Events Can Affect Zebra Migration | Nature's Great Migrations | BBC Earth (Level 1)

Zebras in Botswana travel far every year to find rain and food. This year, the rain was late because of a weather event called El Nino. Most zebras waited, but one zebra named Socks walked south early. She walked very fast in a straight line to find a good place for her baby. Scientists wonder how zebras find their way. The land is flat with no hills to guide them. For a long time, fences stopped the zebras from moving. Recently, people removed the fences. The zebras immediately walked the old path again. No living zebra had walked there before. This shows that zebras are not taught the way by their parents. Instead, the map is likely hidden inside their genes.
