Shipping is a big part of climate change. If shipping were a country, it would be the sixth largest polluter in the world. Many ships carry oil and gas, burn dirty fuel, and are made with steel that comes from coal. But there is hope. A group called Solutions for Our Climate is working to change this. They want banks to stop giving money to ships that carry liquefied natural gas. South Korea builds most of these ships and gives a lot of money to them. The group also wants to build a market for clean fuels and clean steel. They have already stopped some banks from investing in dirty projects. Their new plan is called Navigate to Clean. They believe they can remove up to 2.2 gigatons of pollution every year by 2032. That is almost the same as one year of pollution from the European Union.
