Global superpowers are paying attention to the Arctic. It is a very important place for resources and travel. Now, US special forces are training there to prepare for a possible war with Russia. The weather is extremely cold, reaching minus 30 degrees Celsius. The soldiers must learn three main skills: survival, tactics, and operations. The cold is their biggest enemy. If they are not careful, they can get frostbite. This happens when skin freezes. To stay safe, they must keep their bodies warm and dry. One difficult test is the "cold water exercise." Soldiers jump into a hole in the ice. The water is freezing. They must stay calm and climb out. After, they run to get warm. They also sleep outside in the snow and build shelters. It is hard to cook food because machines freeze. Many soldiers get hurt during this training. They learn that before they can fight a war, they must first learn to survive nature.
