Is Cuba on the Verge of Collapse? (Level 1)

Cuba is facing a very big problem. The country has almost no oil left. This is because the United States government, led by Donald Trump, has stopped oil from reaching the island. In the past, countries like Russia and Venezuela gave Cuba oil to help it survive. Now, Venezuela cannot help because of conflict with the US. Mexico has also stopped sending oil to avoid trouble with the American government. Without oil, life is very difficult for the Cuban people. There is not enough electricity, so the lights go out often. Food and medicine are also hard to find. Because there is no fuel for airplanes, many tourists are not visiting. This hurts the economy because tourism brings in money. The US hopes this pressure will force the Cuban government to change. However, this situation is hurting ordinary people the most.
