Israeli and Palestinian fathers partner to bridge divides 3 years after Oct. 7 (Level 1)

Jonathan is from Israel. His son Sagui was taken by Hamas on October 7. He was held for almost 500 days and then came home. Jasser is from Gaza. In October 2023, an Israeli airstrike hit his home. His wife and two children died. Two other children were hurt and went to the UAE for care. Later, his mother also died. Jonathan and Jasser met in New York. They spoke together at an event called "Across the Divide." They both lost people they love. They do not want more hate. They say leaders on both sides use people as numbers. They want to talk and build hope. They believe talking can help their children live in peace.
