Let’s Travel to the Scariest Place in The Universe (Level 1)

The universe is very big, but most of it is empty. These huge empty spaces are called cosmic voids. They are very dark and lonely. There are almost no stars or galaxies inside them. Instead, galaxies group together in a pattern called the cosmic web. They stay on the edges of the voids. Why? Because gravity pulls things together. Since there is nothing inside a void, gravity pulls galaxies away from the center and toward the edges. Inside these empty spaces, there are a few very rare galaxies. They are called void galaxies. They are very quiet and make new stars very slowly. There is also a mysterious force called dark energy. It makes the voids grow bigger and bigger. In the far future, these empty spaces will take over the whole universe. Everything will become dark and quiet.
