SOCRATES: THE GREATEST RAGE BAITER OF ALL TIME (Level 1)

Socrates was a famous thinker in ancient Greece. He liked to ask people many questions. Sometimes, this made people very angry. He asked experts simple questions until they did not know the answers. Socrates did this because he wanted to help people think. He called himself a gadfly. A gadfly is a bug that bites a lazy horse. He wanted to wake up the lazy people of his city, Athens. Socrates believed that everyone had wisdom inside them. He just wanted to help them find it. However, the leaders of Athens did not like him. They put him on trial and sentenced him to die. Socrates was not afraid. He believed he lived a good life. He said, "The unexamined life is not worth living."
