In a dark forest, a man named George and his team look for a very large spider. They find a Goliath bird-eating spider near its hole. The spider is shy and will run back if scared. George uses a small stick to gently make the spider come out. This spider does not bite first. It throws tiny, sharp hairs at enemies. The hairs make skin, eyes, and lungs itch and hurt. George breathes in some hairs and starts coughing. He tries not to cough, so the spider does not get scared. Even though the spider has long fangs, it prefers to use its hairs. The hairs are a very good way to keep enemies away. After a short time, George puts the spider in a box to weigh it. Then he plans to take it back to its hole. The spider is beautiful and moves calmly. George says the hairs are very irritating, but that shows how well they work as a defense.
