The Fleeting Euphoria of Success | Debbie Millman | TED (Level 1)

People love to celebrate success. We want awards and likes. But how long does the happy feeling last after a big win? For many artists, the joy goes away very fast. One famous painter worked on an art show for years. When it opened, her pride lasted for only eleven minutes. A musician said he only feels peace when he is making music in the studio. Why does this happen? It is because the real reward is the act of making things. Making art is like breathing air. A famous rock singer once reached the very top of the music world. He said the top of the mountain is cold and lonely. After that, you can only go down. So, do not rush to the top. Take your time. Enjoy making new things every single day.
