The Mating Ritual Of Frogs | Africa | BBC Earth (Level 1)

A male frog wants a high spot on a tree. He climbs up and fights another frog for the best place. Being high up is important because it makes his voice sound loud. He wins the fight and begins to sing. Soon, a female frog hears him and joins him. She lays her eggs on a long leaf. Then, the male frog does something special. He uses his back legs to fold the leaf over the eggs. He glues the edges of the leaf together. This keeps the eggs safe inside a closed nest. A few days later, rain falls on the forest. The water washes away the glue. The leaf opens, and the baby frogs, called tadpoles, slide out into the puddles below.
