A young actress plays Matilda in London's West End. The Cambridge Theatre has 1,249 seats and is almost full every night. Matilda is a brave girl from a book by Roald Dahl. She uses her mind and magic to take control of her life. The actress shares the role with three other girls. She had a hard audition. In spring 2024, she got sick and could not sing in the final round. Six months later, she tried again. She waited four weeks and then got the part. She was happy. She has loved Matilda since age three. She watched the 1996 film many times. After three months of practice, she felt Matilda was inside her. One night her hair got stuck in a necklace on stage.
