In Western Australia, dolphins face a hard problem. They want to eat fish. But the fish hide in very shallow water near the beach. The water is only a few centimeters deep. Usually, dolphins hit the water with their tails to catch fish. But this does not work here. The fish are too close to the land. So, the dolphins use a new trick. They move their tails very fast to get speed. Then, they slide on top of the shallow water to catch the fish. This is very dangerous. The dolphins can get stuck on the sand. But they are brave. Young dolphins watch the older ones do this. It is a very hard trick to learn. Right now, only eight dolphins know how to do it. They are very smart animals.
