The boy who defeated the god of the underworld - Joseph Mbele (Level 1)

Shemwindo was the ruler of a village called Tubondo. He was a cruel man who wanted to keep all the power for himself. He made a terrible rule: if he had a son, the baby must be killed. However, his wife had a very special baby named Mwindo. Mwindo was born from his mother’s belly button. He could already walk, talk, and laugh. He also held a magic stick called a scepter. Shemwindo tried to hurt the baby, but Mwindo used magic to survive. He escaped down the river to live with his wise aunt. Later, Mwindo went back to fight his father. The king ran away to the underworld, which is a dark place deep underground. Mwindo followed him there. In the underworld, Mwindo faced many tests. He fought monsters and played games with gods. Finally, he caught his father. Mwindo decided not to kill him. Instead, he chose to be kind. He fixed the village and forgave his father. Mwindo became a great and fair leader.
