This Movie Changes Every Time You Watch It | Gary Hustwit | TED (Level 1)

Most movies are the same every time you watch them. They have a fixed beginning and end. However, filmmaker Gary Hustwit wanted to change this. He created a new movie called "Eno." It is a documentary about the famous musician and artist Brian Eno. This movie is special because it changes every time it is shown. It is the world's first "generative" film. Gary worked with a digital artist to build a computer program. They put 500 hours of video footage into the system. The computer acts like an editor. It picks different scenes and puts them together in a new way for every audience. Brian Eno liked this idea. He believes that normal documentaries are too simple. He thinks humans have many stories, not just one. With this new technology, the movie has billions of versions. You can watch it many times and never see the exact same story twice. It is a new way to enjoy cinema.
