The Harvard Study of Adult Development is a very famous science project. It started in 1938. For over 85 years, scientists watched the lives of hundreds of men. They wanted to know a secret. What keeps people happy and healthy? Many people think money or fame is the answer. However, the study found something different. The most important thing for a good life is relationships. People with good friends and family lived longer. They were healthier too. Loneliness is dangerous because it creates stress in the body. Science shows that we can control our happiness. About 50% of happiness comes from our genes, but 40% comes from our choices. The best choice is to spend time with people. You do not need to be rich. You just need people who support you. Good relationships keep your brain and body strong.
