Where Are All the Women Composers? | Gabriella Di Laccio | TED (Level 1)

A musician found an old book with 6,000 women composers. She was surprised because she only knew five. She started to play their music and made a list online. Many women wrote to her, and the list grew to 18,000 names. She learned that almost 90% of music we hear is written by men. Now AI is learning from this music, but it is missing many women's voices. She says we need to record the music of women from history and today. This will help people find and teach this music. One woman, Ilse Weber, wrote songs for children and old people during World War II. She died, but her husband saved some of her songs. We can teach AI to remember all of us.
