Who’s Actually Running Iran? (Level 1)

A few weeks ago, the US and Israel attacked Iran's leaders. US President Donald Trump told the people of Iran to fight their government. He hoped they would take control of their country. However, this did not happen. Many top leaders in Iran died in the attacks. Now, people do not know if the new leader is alive. Because the government is weak, the Iranian military has taken control. This group is called the IRGC. The IRGC is very strong. It works in small groups, so it is hard to defeat. Even the president of Iran cannot stop them. They are attacking other countries without asking the government. Trump wanted to end the strict government in Iran. But his plan did not work. Instead, the military is in charge. Iran might become a stronger and stricter military state.
