The United States and Iran are moving closer to war again. On Tuesday, the US attacked about 80 targets in Iran and stopped Iranian oil sales. This was because Iran attacked three oil ships. Iran then sent drones and missiles at US military places in Bahrain and another site. This broke the recent peace agreement and made people worry about more fighting. Last week, Vice President JD Vance said the US used the peace time to fill up its oil reserves. But starting the war now is very hard for President Trump. The world’s oil in storage is very low. This oil helped keep prices down when the main sea route for oil was blocked. If a war starts, oil prices might go very high and fuel could become scarce. The US reserve oil is already at its lowest since 1983, and it cannot be emptied much more. So, Trump cannot easily start a new war now because it would hurt the world’s oil supply and the American economy. The oil situation might change in the future, but it will take a long time.
