Will the Iranian regime collapse? | The Economist (Level 1)

The war in the Middle East is changing. Iran’s leader has died, but the fighting continues. The United States and Israel want to remove the current government. To do this, they are attacking Iran’s military. They have destroyed ships and missile launchers. However, Iran’s main security forces are still strong. Iran is still fighting back. They are firing missiles at Israel and other nearby countries. This is very dangerous for the whole region. The United States hopes the Iranian government will collapse, but this is not guaranteed. The war might last for weeks. The future is uncertain because the Iranian army still has many weapons.
